Casa Pura Vista is rented while we are gone, so we have to take everything with us that we need for daily living until we return January 7, 2015. And the dogs are going with us! Yay!
Renting the house has been a good exercise in assessing all our "stuff." We have gone through every drawer, every cabinet, every closet, every storage bin, and physically touched every item in the whole house. That has been a 3-month process, and resulted in two epiphanies: 1. OMG! I have been looking for this! and 2. WTF! Why did I save this?
Needless to say, we threw out or donated a lot of stuff. Somehow the house seems cleaner and tidier. Maybe we should do this process once a year!
At any rate, we are leaving out beloved home in the hands of a very competent management company, and heading somewhere we have never been before.
